Engaging, Evidence-Based and Interactive

Georgia Hodkinson (GMBPsS) is an Organisational Psychologist and founder of Georgia’s PsyWork Ltd., supporting organisations to reduce churn, missed targets and inconsistent performance by improving clarity, communication and fatigue-aware system design. Her work is evidence-based, ethically grounded, and focused on translating behavioural science into practical interventions that protect wellbeing and improve how people work under pressure.

Get to Know Us

Low energy, brain fog, conflict and sickness are often signs of fatigue. I help organisations tackle this by turning psychological evidence into engaging, usable frameworks.

What are Human Factors?

Human factors sits at the intersection of psychology, physiology, design, and systems thinking and is the field that looks at how people actually behave, think, feel, and make decisions.

This is the design of work, tools, and environments to fit humans.

Core elements

  • Cognitive factors: attention, memory, decision-making, load

  • Physical factors: posture, reach, vision, ergonomics

  • Emotional factors: stress, pressure, motivation, fear

  • Environmental factors: noise, lighting, time pressure.

  • System factors: processes, technology, interfaces.

It asks questions like:

  • How do attention, fatigue, stress, and workload affect performance?

  • Why do capable people make mistakes in certain conditions?

  • How does system design increase or reduce error?

  • What helps people perform well consistently.

Human Factors & Fatigue Solutions for a Safer, Smarter, More Sustainable Workplace

Modern organisations are under more pressure than ever, rising workloads, complex systems, cognitive overload, and people who are tired long before Friday arrives.

I help organisations understand how people actually think, feel and function at work and build solutions that improve safety, performance, wellbeing, and decision-making.

Why I Do This Work

My journey into human factors didn’t begin in a textbook.

I started in recruitment, where I learned how people behave under pressure and moved to healthcare, leading crisis teams and supporting frontline staff and ended in the organisational psychology space

It became personal when I faced my own battle with fatigue, the cognitive, emotional, and behavioural crash that changes how you function.

2

My Approach

I build systems that improve safety, thinking, collaboration, and performance.

Every programme is psychology-led, evidence-informed, tailored to your environment, designed for real-world application and created with measurable outcomes

Every programme is designed for real-world application with measurable outcomes. Everything I create is interactive, memorable, and grounded in practical behaviour change.

Exploring gaps, ethics concerns & opportunities.

AI is already influencing psychological work, from writing and learning to hiring and decision-making. But the real challenge right now isn’t adoption, it’s understanding.

We are slowing the AI conversation down and exploring it more carefully.

Myself and Neil Chester support organisations with the adoption of AI with ethical practise, to reduce the resistance from its use at work.

  • Together, we explore: Where gaps in understanding and confidence are showing up.

  • The concerns and ethical tensions held.

  • Where opportunities might exist and what would need to be true for them to work well.

If you would like to see our practical framework for AI Prompts you can take away and apply thoughtfully, then email me Georgia@georgiaspsywork.com
